All of the rooms are beautifully decorated and superbly appointed, with all the contemporary comforts and facilities you need in a restful, relaxing base. Each room has a flat-screen TV, a DVD player and a luxurious super king-size bed with 400-count Egyptian cotton sheets. Every room has tea and coffee making facilities including fresh milk. A daily newspaper is included, and your choice of paper will be outside your door when you wake up.

Each of the rooms is subtly themed and sumptuously dressed. The style of each room draws on the colours, textures and cultures of exotic faraway lands. Some rooms have magnificent sea views and other rooms have views of the garden.

All of the rooms are en suite with superb bathroom facilities. The beautifully sculpted en suite spas are fresh and contemporary, ideal if you are on a restful, relaxing and restorative break. The en suite facilities are the perfect place to preen and pamper before you head out or before you turn in. Wrap yourself in sumptuous, soft, white towelling bathrobes and enjoy a little well-earned indulgence. Some of the rooms have luxurious spa baths, some have in-room saunas and some have high-tech, state-of-the-art showers. All of the bathrooms include luxurious toiletries and bathroom products from Molton Brown.

An impressive breakfast is included in the price. Breakfast is served until 10:00 and you can enjoy your breakfast in your room, in the Grand Salon or outside in the garden (weather permitting).

Whenever possible, ingredients are sourced locally and are organic or farm reared. Soya milk and wheat/gluten-free bread are available.

Breakfast begins with either a chilled glass of champagne or Bucks-fizz. Guests can then choose from a wide selection of cereals or porridge with honey followed a fruit plate with a rhubarb and champagne compote.

There is a choice of hot options, including poached eggs on toast with sweet-cure bacon, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and chives, boiled eggs with toasted soldiers, locally caught and locally smoked kipper with poached egg and a full cooked English breakfast. The full cooked breakfasts are available in small or large sizes and a vegetarian cooked breakfast is also available.

Guests can also enjoy a selection of mixed, freshly baked toast (including wheat-free toast).

Freshly squeezed orange juice or apple juice and a choice of teas and coffees are available to accompany breakfast.

The hotel is situated in St Leonards-on-Sea, just a 10-minute walk from the centre of the historic town of Hastings. There is a wealth of quirky boutiques, bars and restaurants in Hastings Old Town. Hastings also boasts plenty of visitor attractions and things to see and do, such as an aquarium, museums, caves and castles. Alternatively, you could enjoy a relaxing stroll along the promenade or the beach, or you could explore the town’s charming narrow streets.
